You have to fully listen to really appreciate the words and the poetry and the performance. The flow is pretty flawless, and there are some definite moments of honesty and openness in the lines that are always worth appreciating when looking for new music and artists to follow. The sound of the voice itself has a lot of personality too. The tone of the voice, the accent, everything together makes the performance unusual and quite compelling, more so the more you listen. There’s a decent amount of word play and quirky moments of character that really add a unique and personal touch to the performance. Some of the rhymes are brilliant, and in a way, it’s a shame the music doesn’t have quite as much personality as the artist, because there’s something special about those rhymes and the sound of that voice.
